Services offered: 24 hour Hotline, temporary
emergency shelter for mothers and dependent children,

advocacy, childrens program, and walk-in services.
Counseling, support group, court advocacy, information and
referral.
Persons served: Victims of domestic violence whether
male or female.

Information: The Crime Victims Assistance Program for
St. Clair County provides comprehensive support services and
advocacy to victims and witnesses to violent crimes.
Services offered: Crime Victim Compensation is
provided as a direct reimbursement to, or on behalf of, a
crime victim for crime related expenses such as medical
costs, mental health counseling, funeral and burial costs,
lost wages, or loss of support. Compensation under this
program is a secondary source of recovery. There is no
compensation for property loss or damage. Total
compensation may not exceed $27,000. State requires victims
to report crimes in 3 days and to file claims within 1 year
of date incident.
Persons served: Any person or family who has been the
victim or witness of a violent crime.
Fees: None.
