Information: The Parent/Youth Helpline is a program
of Call For Help, Inc. It is a phone service available to
parents and children who need to talk to someone or need
information about other services in the community.
Services offered: The Parent/Youth Helpline is for
parents who need to talk to someone about their problems
with their kids or want to know where to get help to deal
with the problems. The Parent/Youth Helpline is for kids
who need to talk to someone about their problems; problems
at school, at home, with friends, anywhere.
Persons served: Parents and children who need
information or need to talk to someone.

Information: International nonprofit, nonsectarian,
educational organization devoted to the welfare and
interests of single parents and their children. The purpose
of PWP is to help the single parent make the transition from
a two-parent home to a one-parent home.
Services offered: A general meeting is held every
month. Social and educational meetings, planned programs
and activities for parents and families. Joining the
organization entitles you to a membership in both the local
chapter and in International Parents Without Partners, Inc.
Persons served: Open to single parents; custody of
children not necessary for membership.
Fees: $25 per year.

Information: The PCC is committed to enhancing the
quality of human life by providing crisis intervention,
counseling and education to persons in need of help.
Adolescents and women with problem pregnancies are the
initial focus of our services.
Services offered: Pregnancy tests, individual
counseling, maternity and baby clothing, clothing for 1-4 yr
olds, informational pamphlets, books and packets. Referrals
include: WIC, Public Aid, MPE (medical), adoption,
maternity/shepherding homes, natural family planning, Lamaze
and prenatal classes, LaLeche classes, Project Rachael (for
women who have had abortions), Building Opportunity Program
(targeted for high school students priority based on need),
Well Kids program, Expanded Food and Nutrition Educational
Program, Single Teen/Parent/Homemaker Education, Education
for Employment and GED. Help from St. Francis Thrift Shop,
food through Beacon of Belleville, AIDS and communicable
disease information. PCC works closely with all schools and
service agencies.
Persons served: Anyone regardless of sex, age, race,
religion or financial status.
Fees: All services are volunteered; no paid
personnel.

by parents with therapists.
Information: Pediatric therapy for children birth to
three years of age in their home, daycare, or early
intervention center.
Services offered: Pediatric therapy including
developmental, occupational, speech, physical therapy.
Therapists provide direct therapy to the child and
demonstrate activities that the parents could do with their
child.
Persons served: Children in St. Clair, Madison,
Monroe counties who are between birth to three years of age
who have a developmental delay.
Fees: $100/year, co-pay based on sliding scale.

Information: Outpatient mental health center for
individuals, families, couples and groups.
Services offered: Family, martial and individual
counseling for a wide range of mental health and
relationship problems. Men Ending Domestic Violence
a program for men who have been abusive or violent to
their partners. Experienced therapists will access and
provide treatment. Anger management co-ed group. Services
also available in six other St. Louis area locations.
Persons served: St. Clair, Southern Madison,
Randolph, Clinton and Monroe counties in Illinois, and
Metropolitan St. Louis.
Fees: Sliding scale or may be subsidized by
insurance, United Way or employee assistance.

Services offered: A group for people with diseases of
the lung and their families. Participants learn about their
disease and share ideas and solutions to their problems.
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month
(except June thru August) at 1:30 p.m. in the hospital
